How much does the training cost?
All DASA trainings at Daemen University are $50, whichever format you choose. Pay online at daemen.edu/dasa.
Who needs DASA training?
Applicants for New York State teaching, teaching assistant, school leadership, and pupil personnel certificates must complete six clock hours of DASA training.
How are my results reported to New York State?
We upload your completion directly to your NYS TEACH account, usually about a week after class. Make sure the name you give us matches your TEACH account exactly.
What formats do you offer?
A one-day Saturday class (9:00 am – 3:00 pm), a two-night weeknight class (4:30 – 7:30 pm both nights), or the self-paced option: about three hours of online modules followed by a live Zoom session.
Do I need my camera on?
Yes. The live class is interactive, and cameras need to stay on for the full session.
Can I pay on the day of class?
No. Daemen’s payment system doesn’t accept same-day payments. If you register today, choose a class tomorrow or later.
How does the self-paced part work?
You check in, then complete three modules online. Each ends with a short quiz; you need 80% to unlock the next module, and you can retake quizzes as many times as you need. The final quiz opens after about three hours on the course. Then you join a live Zoom session.
