Four steps to completing your DASA training
Pick a date and register
Choose a Saturday, a pair of weeknights, or the self-paced option, then fill out the registration form.
Pay $50 through Daemen
Pay at daemen.edu/dasa. Same-day payments aren’t accepted, so pay at least a day before your class.
Attend on Zoom
Join with your camera on and your Zoom name set to “Last Name, First Name,” exactly as in TEACH.
We report to TEACH
Your completion is uploaded to your NYS TEACH account, usually within about a week.
One Saturday or two weeknights
An interactive class with discussion, video, and scenarios. Cameras stay on for the full six hours.
Start online, finish live
Work through definitions, the law, and bullying basics at your own pace, with a short quiz after each module (80% to move on).
Required for New York State educator certification
Applicants for NYS teaching, teaching assistant, school leadership, and pupil personnel certificates must complete six clock hours of DASA training. Our classes welcome teachers, counselors, administrators, aides, coaches, and anyone who works with students.

How much does it cost?
$50 for any format, paid through Daemen University at daemen.edu/dasa.
How are my results reported to New York State?
We upload your completion directly to NYS TEACH, usually about a week after class.
Do I need my camera on?
Yes. The live class is interactive, and cameras need to stay on for the full session.
Can I pay on the day of class?
No. Daemen’s system doesn’t accept same-day payments, so pay at least one day before your class.
